Representatives from the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Muslim of Myanmar Multi-Ethnic Consultative Committee (MMMCC) held a discussion with the Malaysian Foreign Minister, Dato' Saifuddin Abdullah, via online video conference.

Support for the NUG-
During the meeting, the MMMCC urged the Malaysian Foreign Minister to engage in formal dialogue with the National Unity Government (NUG)—which was formed based on the public's will—and to continue supporting the people of Myanmar.

Protection of Refugees - The Minister stated that Malaysia will provide the best possible assistance and protection to the people of Myanmar currently taking refuge in Malaysia, including the Rohingya.

Collaboration on Humanitarian Issues- Both parties discussed cooperation with Malaysian officials regarding education, healthcare, and human rights conditions within Myanmar. This included humanitarian aid efforts and the protection of those providing such assistance.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to hold regular meetings between the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the MMMCC as necessary to maintain ongoing coordination.
