The Muslim of Myanmar Multi-Ethnic Consultative Committee (MMMCC) continues to actively coordinate both its domestic and international operations. In support of the democratic movement, U Kyaw Win, MMMCC’s Head of International Relations, held high-level meetings earlier this September with Malaysia’s Foreign Minister and Defense Minister.

At the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, U Kyaw Win met with Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato' Seri Mohamad Hasan. The Foreign Minister expressed Malaysia's deep empathy for the ongoing oppression faced by the entire population of Myanmar, including Muslims of diverse ethnic backgrounds and the Rohingya community. He reaffirmed that the Malaysian government is actively prioritizing these critical issues.

Furthermore, the Foreign Minister voiced support for joint collaboration between MMMCC and the Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU) as OIC members, and instructed ministry officials to issue necessary letters of endorsement for both organizations.

Following this, on September 2, Malaysian Defense Minister Dato' Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin hosted MMMCC's Head of International Relations for a luncheon at the Royale Chulan Hotel in Kuala Lumpur.

The Defense Minister expressed a strong interest in the current situation in Myanmar and the future destiny of its Muslim populations. He emphasized that peace in Myanmar will remain incomplete unless Muslims and other oppressed communities achieve equal rights across all sectors, including under the law. Reaffirming the Malaysian government's desire to assist to the best of its ability regarding the rights of Muslim and diverse ethnic communities, he engaged in warm discussions over lunch regarding current democratic efforts.

The Muslim of Myanmar Multi-Ethnic Consultative Committee (MMMCC) remains dedicated to advancing domestic ground operations, international diplomacy, and humanitarian aid—addressing the affairs of Muslim populations from all regions and ethnic groups alongside the broader revolution.
